I love that dogs remind us to live in the moment and enjoy the wander even though we never know exactly where it’s going. One summer I started sewing dog leashes in my garage, what began as a hobby turned into Beast and Babe and a firmly held philosophy that your dog wears one thing every day, and he might as well look damn good in it.
We are an independent, woman-owned and operated company founded in Venice Beach, California. We believe that the items we make and surround ourselves with should be beautiful on the inside, and out. We craft limited run collections using vintage or artisan fabrics to reduce waste, support ethical craftsmanship and make the coolest dog goods we’ve ever laid our eyeballs on.
Our materials may feature traditional indigo blankets sourced from craftspeople in Ghana, or be part of a hand-painted collaboration we did with a local artist we’ve long admired; whatever they are, they are always changing and always special. We use solid brass hardware and make our goods in downtown LA with the help of great people paid fair wages.
Last but not least we support non-profit spay/ neuter initiatives to help end dog overpopulation because we love four-legged fuzzballs, all of them, and we think that's an important place to start. Thanks for being part of our journey, wishing you and your doggo a really lovely wander.
